Hostile possession is one of the indispensable elements of adverse possession. Specifically, adverse possession means that the person who possesses the property owned by the true owner can acquire the title to the property if the following elements are fulfilled:
- Open and notorious use of the property, which gives the true owner the notice of adverse continuous possession for a statutory period; and the continuous period of possession can be aggregated if the real property is voluntarily transferred from the adverse possessor to another;
- Actual possession of the property as the true owner would;
- Exclusively use the real property without sharing it with the true owner; and
- Hostilely claim the right of real property (the majority of jurisdictions require adverse possessors to be in good faith).
GRANTED: NONE OF THIS IS BASED IN LAW when it comes to the Internet and .TLD ownership, because if you fail to keep it UP, it gets RECYCLED. Suffice to say: I've hosted SubGenius.net in trade for services rendered, on and off, over the last 12 years, and as the world has changed.. the previous "founders" have for one reason or another become unreachable.
Dobbscoin was my entry, EndCiv pitched the idea and did all the art-work for the wallet client - along with (see (list some github contributors to dobbscoin 2014-1016 code) who offered their time and what Slack they could in code. We shit out the first coingen.io release and began this blockchain ledger learning experience.
So, being its hosting provider, having paid the bills of many a user whom I float, and not having heard from anyone regarding it in 10 years.. I allowed EndCiv to DEFACE it *ARTISTICALLY* and am building content around the "Community" for which it should serve. The "Dues Paid Members of the Church of the SubGenius".
I've still got priorities: Dobbscoin is still comes FIRST, but honestly.. half the time the chain is stalled because there aren't any miners - but that gave me the opportunity to learn to code a
